PURPOSE:

To improve Asset Management, to provide tax advisory services and to provide effective banking and cash management.

VISION:

Be the centre of excellence in facilitating & monitoring the implementation of Asset Management policy framework, practices & Asset Management Systems, in management of banking matters and provision of quality advisory services in respect of tax payroll functions to All KZN departments.

MISSION:

Is to ensure the enhanced Asset Management policy framework and functional Asset Management Systems, to provide guidance and support in respect of tax payroll functions and to ensure proper management of banking matters to KZN departments.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

To facilitate and monitor the implementation of an effective Asset Management policy framework in
the province including the implementation and continued maintenance of Asset Registers that
meet with reporting requirements.


To provide a quality advisory service in respect of tax payroll functions, to keep KZN departments
abreast of amendments in tax legislation in respect of payroll tax, and to perform risk analysis in
terms of tax compliance.


To provide an effective Banking and support services to all client departments, to improve the
efficiency of cash management and to minimize the adverse liquidity through effective liabilities
management.
