• Chair of the Economic Cluster of the Province
• Chair of the Central Procurement Committee of the Province

National Responsibilities

• Represents the Province of KZN at the Technical Committee on Finance
• Attends the Budget Council and the Budget Forum together with the MEC
  for Finance representing KZN

International Exposure

• Attended a Public Finance and Development course at the Deutsche Stiftung
  fur internationale Entwicklung, Berling, Germany in 1995
• Attended an Economic Policy Analysis course at the London School of Economics in 1996
• Undertook a Gambling Taxation study Tour in the United States of America in 1997
• Visited Europe on a number of occasions between 1999 and 2003 negotiating the Inkosi
  Albert Luthuli PPP contract
• Led the Management Team that formed part of an international exhibition in Belgium in
  2002 showcasing KwaZulu-Natal
• Visited Baden Wudernburg as part of a delegation to revive the partnership between KZN and Baden Wudernburg

• Project Finance – Deals of the Year 2002Received in London in 2002 for the Inkosi Albert Luthuli PPP project
• Black Management Forum Special Presidential Award received in September of 2003 for successfully leading and transforming the Provincial Treasury
