Imagine a peaceful province that boasts a mosaic of diverse cultures united behind common heritage. That is KwaZulu-Natal – a melting pot of different racial groups living harmoniously together.

Under theme “The Year of Charlotte Maxeke: Celebrating South Africa’s Intangible Cultural Heritage”, KZN prides itself to be a powerful province with a multiplicity of cultures and heritage. This province soars in its strength to foster social cohesion amongst its diverse people to build a stronger nation that shares common identity.

This is a province where humanity will always prevail over any adversity. Its diverse people know the strength to work together to reach a common destiny.

Let us celebrate our heritage knowing that KZN was built on a fou​ndation of uniting, individuals, groups, clans and tribes under the values social cohesion. Battles have been fought, strength gained, and victories were scored with one intention to build a united nation.

While celebrating our heritage, we must embrace our diversity and value our heritage that dates back to centuries.
