This programme is responsible for providing provincial treasury functions in terms of the Public finance Management act. The unit responsible for the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) is also under this programme.

KZN TREASURY DEPLOYS RESOURCES TO IMPROVE ITS PERFOMANCE
KZN Treasury will deploy its resources strategically to respond directly to the needs of communities through enhanced support to departments, public entities and municipalities.
Inspired by the State of the Nation, State of the Province addresses, the department’s strategic planning resolutions, and the Provinciali Cabinet Lekgotla, the department has emphasised the need to ensure improved and impact-based performance in respect of its legislative role in the province.
The Department continues to provide strategic and tangible support to provincial departments, municipalities and government entities. Clean and good governance remains the backbone of our quest to obtain clean audit outcomes at all government levels in this province.

SCHOOL FUNCTIONALITY PROGRAMME
KZN Finance MEC and uThukela District Champion, Hin. Nomusa Dube-Ncube at Mpumelelo High School in Loskop near Estcourt under Inkosi Langalibalele LM. MEC Dube-Ncube is in the district as part of the KZN Legislature annual School Functionality Monitoring Programme which assesses academic year readiness and look into challenges facing the schools. |
